The Lyric Page
I hope to update this from time to time, rotating a song or two at a time. Right now, I'll start with one. Before I do, however, it's important to remember that lyrics on paper (or on monitor) are generally not the same as lyrics with a melody to help them along. If you don't understand that and you're not going to be nice about it, or if you're a thief and you plan on stealing my copyrighted songs, you'll just have to exit right here:![]()
Okay, the rest of you can look at my song lyrics. I trust you. Really. Well, sort of...
You're Real
Verse I:
I have made myself a world
Where things ideal exist
Only good things happen there
And hard times are not quite so hard
There are answers for everything
And every dream comes true
With tainted thoughts I fill my head
And contrast with what comes to pass
And I run when life becomes a struggle
I go when true life gets too hard
But nothing there can help me face the truth and stay content
Chorus:
But you're real and past my wildest dreams
More real than all the earth and sky
You're real when nothing else remains I'll be satisfied
'Cause you're real
Verse II:
This world never comes today
It's always here tomorrow
And every piece that slips away
Waits for something more to come
Picture-perfect families
Where parents never fail
And home is where we hide away
And love can keep the world outside
And I run when life becomes a struggle
I go when true life gets too hard
But nothing there can help me face the truth and stay content
Chorus
Instrumental breakBut I've learned that life will be a struggle
And I know that even love is hard
And nothing makes truly easy
And time won't wipe our cares away
But you're real... etc., etc., etc.
