[The Gearbox] [Holly Bell Home]

I play exclusively Takamine and Guild guitars at my performances because, well, that's all I have. I have my sights set on a Larivee OM model, though, which I intend to buy from Traditional Music in Leucadia because I'm always hanging out in Bob's store and never buy anything big from him. I will, Bob - I promise.

Besides that, I have a Seymour Duncan piezo-electric pickup for my split saddle Takamine. I run the cord through an L.R. Baggs preamp and occasionally use a Boss Dimension C chorus pedal. When I get that Larrivee guitar, however, I'm gonna' put in a Dana Bourgeois set-up which uses an under-the-saddle pickup and a condenser mic. That will be so sweet!

The Guild actually belongs to my husband, and he had a Martin Thinline Gold Plus (made by Fishman) put in. The Thinline has a built-in pre-amp and sounds pretty good. He wants a steel-body guitar someday (not to be confused with stealing a guitar) so he can play real slide guitar. He's very good on his cheap Yamaha, though, and everybody should come see him play between my sets!
