The Wild
Truth "Cryptomnesia" PSDO 8011 © 1992 Pseudocool Records It's time to reevaluate, rather then just stimulate" declares songwriter/producer Sven-Erik Seaholm, and (on an album named for a mental condition, wherein the subject feels as if they've been transported into another's life) it's a pertinent declaration. From beginning to end, Cryptomnesia details the fascinating journey into and back out of, the darkness of betrayal. Musically more complex than it's high-caliber predecessor, the band's penultimate release foreshadows the lyrical and production values of seaholm's later project, seaholm, etc., establishing the artist as a creative force to be reckoned with. |

The Wild Truth "Self-Titled Debut" PSDO 8008 © 1990 Pseudocool Records Bursting onto the San Diego music scene in the early 90's, The Wild Truth was more a whirlwind than a breath of fresh air, and was always a true original. An explosive mix of pop, rock and r&b, this crowd favorite frequently opened for such acts as Tower of Power and the like. The band's multiple side projects, including the critically acclaimed Mondo Acoustica eventually led the band into deeper artistic waters, but this visceral debut stands as a testament to the power and raw talent of all involved. |
