MKB Release #0000: Explosion #1

the Experiment

Note: this page updated 080397 as part of a complete overhaul; this page will soon be phased out
The first official release from the studio. Recorded by the studio group the Experiment Erick Goldman plays drums and Michael Breen covers bass, guitar, and vocals on two hard- rocking tunes written by Michael. Lee Razo provides tasteful lead guitar to both songs.
The release includes "Looking in the Mirror" and "I Don't Cry".
If you want to get this tape, write to me!

Cost: Tape cost plus shipping = US $1 (chrome tape) plus shipping. The total will be about US$2-3.
Here's complete downloadable copies of both songs:
Looking in the Mirror (RealAudio file) (2.6M wav file)
I Don't Cry (RealAudio file) (3.2M wav file)

I can answer some of the inevitable questions here:
Why only the aiff format? [old info, now full-length RA and WAV only]
I'm working very hard to get these songs into other formats, like au and wav. Some people have complained about not being able to handle aiff files. Read this for info about how I get from tape to aiff files. Any hints on how to make the extra steps to au and wav are healthily encouraged!
How come these are complete songs?
Because I haven't had time to make short 30-second samples of these songs yet. Soon...
Why should I get the tape when I have complete digitized versions?
Because the digitized versions are mono, and you really want to hear this in stereo. Because you can't play the digitized version in your car (unless you tape it at your end). Because, although they actually sound pretty good, the digitized versions just don't have the bandwidths that a tape can provide.
What!? Only two songs on a tape!?
As I start packaging other releases, I'll start putting short releases like this one together with others, and selling the tapes as collections of release. Same cost, more music. How's that?
